D&H CANADA LAUNCHES "THREADCAST" VIRTUAL OFFERING 4/23, FEATURING INDUSTRY-LEADING KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

- To Support Partners as They Navigate the Pandemic, D&H Will Deliver Educational Content Via On-Demand, "LIVEcast," and Streaming Channels, Illustrating How to Sustain Continuity Through Collaborative Technologies -

BRAMPTON, ON - April 21, 2020 - D&H Canada, a major provider of SMB and consumer technologies to the North American high-tech channel, announces it has transitioned its Montreal Technology Conference to a Canada-wide, virtual "THREADcast" due to the stay-at-home mandates resulting from COVID-19. The THREADcast will run from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. ET on April 23, 2020. Content will be a combination of both live and recorded presentations, focusing on categories that lend themselves to current issues. Topics include cloud services, collaboration, managed services, and D&H's DaaS (Device-as-a-Service) program. Such offerings will more easily accommodate business continuity, remote connectivity, and an increased demand for technology for healthcare companies, schools, government offices, public safety, and essential business environments. In addition to the keynotes, virtual manufacturer and solution "Vendor Channels" will be available, where manufacturers will provide material about their latest innovations. Partners can register at dandh.ca/THREADcast. THREADcast is open to all D&H Canada partners

The THREADcast offering was designed to be conscious of partners' time in light of how their workloads and availability have recently changed, presenting content that is accessible, engaging, relevant, and specific to their needs. D&H's conference series was rebranded as the "THREADâ?¢" Technology Conferences in 2020. The distributor continues to evolve the series, solidifying its format of special speakers, subject matter experts, and manufacturer-based technology sessions. The tagline of the rebranded conference series, "Strength in Connections," emphasizes how joining with peers and partners in the channel for insightful and effective training experiences will accelerate growth for MSPs, VARs, and resellers.

D&H would also like to hold up the new virtual THREADcast as an example of how technology can be applied to achieve business continuity, allowing companies to conduct meetings and educational sessions virtually, or to accommodate the transfer of its employees to home-based work environments. D&H will continue to advocate for collaborative solutions from manufacturers such as Cisco (which extended trial licenses of its Webex services and some security offerings at no-cost during the crisis), Dropbox, Axcient, and RingCentral. Now more than ever, channel partners should be versed in how to deploy these collaborative solutions to help businesses, communities--and the people who are at their core--stay connected and maintain viability during social distancing periods.

"This is a unique time in history, but our partners and the industry in general are working hard to meet challenges with the solutions we've been promoting all along," said Jenn Walcott, vice president of marketing at D&H Distributing. "Now more than ever, partners are helping end-customers enable collaborative virtual environments while maintaining the same performance and security standards they have within their physical office spaces. THREADcast will help inform our partners about those options. We also hope it will serve as an example of how companies can leverage technology for both marketing and educational purposes."

Each of the speakers conduct their sessions from their own individual locations. The THREADcast agenda includes the following:

  • High-tech marketing and customer engagement expert Jay Baer, to provide compelling examples of how solution providers can enhance customer experiences, strengthen customer relationships, and foster increased business.
  • Channel analyst and industry-renowned journalist Larry Walsh of the 2112 Group, to review resources and strategies that will help solution providers and their end-customers maintain operations in this time of crisis, empowering them to prepare for recovery.
  • Live sessions from D&H's Jason Bystrak, vice president of D&H's Cloud Business Unit, and D&H Canada's Ian Cumming, senior cloud development manager. They will explain how MSPs and VARs can leverage cloud-based technologies to address these new needs through D&H's Cloud Solutions offering.
  • A live session from D&H Canada's Chris Ralston, director of vendor management, to discuss how D&H's Professional and Managed Services program can help bring new capabilities and resources to partners, helping them to grow their businesses in the "as-a-service" economy, while allowing them to introduce additional value to their end-customers.

The keynotes from D&H personnel will include real-time Q&A opportunities, creating a training experience that is as parallel as possible to a live encounter. Registrants from D&H Canada's previously scheduled Montreal conference were automatically enrolled in the virtual THREADcast. In this way, D&H is able to provide the best possible experience for its partners by way of a comparable hosted venue with up-to-the-minute, germane content--at a time when many other channel events have been forced to cancel.

Fifteen participants will win VISA gift cards sponsored by Lenovo, including one for $500. The more attendees engage with the THREADcast channels up until 30 days after the event, the greater their chances to win. Cards will be awarded by June 1.

The rebranded D&H THREADâ?¢ events represent the next generation of the distributor's long-running conferences, weaving together educational training, partner engagement activities, interactive solution experiences, and collaborative opportunities. They bring a wealth of enablement resources to help partners across North America accelerate their businesses and reach new levels of success. Some content will also be available on-demand after-the-fact. For full event details and ongoing updates, visit www.dandh.ca/THREADcast.
