D&H CANADA LAUNCHES NEW CLOUD PROGRAM INCLUDING MSP SERVICES AND DAAS OPTIONS

- The Distributor Will Help VARs Migrate Toward the In-demand MSP Model, Offering Hosted Tools & Services from Major Cloud Partners, Plus a "DaaS" Lifecycle Management Program -

HARRISBURG, PA - February 11, 2020 - D&H Canada, a major provider of SMB and consumer technologies to the North American high-tech channel, has launched its new Cloud Solutions program, an MSP-oriented initiative designed to help resellers and VARs make the transition to a hosted, "Everything-as-a-Service" business model. D&H Canada will offer solutions and services from a list of major cloud partners including Axcient, ConnectWise, RingCentral, and Dropbox, encompassing categories such as business management tools, remote monitoring and management, unified communications, contact center services, cloud-based storage, remote access, document management, and back-up and disaster recovery solutions. To oversee this effort in Canada, D&H welcomes cloud market expert Ian Cumming as its new senior cloud development manager. Cumming has close to 25 years of channel experience, including with major technology and distribution companies. Partners can find out more at www.dandh.ca/cloud.

Under its Cloud Solutions umbrella, D&H is also launching its "DaaS" Device as a Service program to Canadian MSPs and VARs. DaaS enables resellers to deliver a suite of client devices, including high-performance notebooks, workstations, desktops, thin-clients, and tablets, all through a multi-year, subscription-based term. Procurement, deployment, device management, services, and lifecycle management are accommodated via a competitively-priced monthly cost. The devices can be monitored via the cloud, allowing for continued management by the MSP, creating ongoing incremental revenue opportunities.

DaaS helps channel partners to grow their businesses in the "as-a-service" economy, while allowing them to introduce additional value to their end-customers. End-user advantages include predictable monthly payments, which transition their PC procurement expenses from a capital to an operating budget. This model also ensures consistent, ongoing software updates to the end-client's environment, in addition to accommodating lifecycle services throughout the subscription period.

A notable percentage of small businesses are still running outmoded Windows 7 machines, but don't have the resources to upgrade their entire office to more capable Windows 10 models. MSPs can help these companies more affordably migrate to a modernized environment with more robust and secure computing devices, including features such as enhanced battery life and dramatically increased speeds. In addition, the program is uniquely scalable, wherein MSPs can deploy only the PCs their customers need, based on workload. More information can be found at www.dandh.ca/daas.

"As the marketplace continues to evolve toward a digital and transactional service model, we want to guide our reseller partners through a more seamless transition to this new paradigm," said D&H Canada's Ian Cumming. "Along with D&H's Vice President of Cloud Business Unit Jason Bystrak, we'll be working diligently to implement tools and resources to drive partner success throughout this transformation."

"We're enthusiastic about the benefits that the MSP model presents for our customer base, especially in light of the challenges that come with any end-of-service upgrade cycle," said Tom Guagliardi, D&H's vice president, sales and vendor management, Canada. "We look forward to helping those partners move toward a new, hosted services model, while delivering enhanced value to their business customers."

D&H partners are encouraged to contact their representatives at (800) 340-1008 or CloudSolutionsCA@dandh.com. Visit www.dandh.ca/cloud for further details on D&H Canada's Cloud Solutions program. There's no application fee to become a customer.
