D&H CANADA SEES 23+% GROWTH IN FISCAL Q1 '16, EXCEEDING THE GENERAL DISTRIBUTION CHANNEL

The Distributor Achieves a High-Growth Quarter, Showing Double-Digit Increases in Servers, Laptops/Notebooks, Printers, Monitors and other Networking

BRAMPTON, ONT - September 9, 2015 - D&H Canada, the leading North American computer products and consumer electronics distributor, announces it has seen significant growth in its first quarter of Fiscal Year 2016, showing increases in sales of 23% year-over-year for Canada. D&H Distributing's Q1 2016 began on May 1 of this year and continued through the end of July.

D&H saw increased sales of 20% for networking products in general, with notable gains in specific categories such as servers (220%), monitors (67%), printers (62%), laptops and notebooks (33%), and components (27%). A portion of the increase in server sales can be attributed to Microsoft's termination-of-service for the Server 2003 solutions, which elapsed this July. The distributor has encouraged its resellers to pursue not just upgrade opportunities due to this market development, but to upsell more advanced, turn-key solutions that encompass storage, networking, security and back-office elements, leading to more comprehensive deployments.

These gains come at a time when other distributors in the North American channel have reported stalled or reduced momentum. Typically, the market experiences a temporary slow-down or "hangover" after a refresh cycle such as those prompted by the Microsoft XP and Server 2003 end-of-service dates.
