-New Online Tool Offers Visibility into the Most Frequently Viewed Products in Various Categories, Delivering Ongoing Insights to Support the VAR's Purchasing Decisions-

MISSISSAUGA, ONT - March 1, 2013 - Ever wonder what products are hot at D&H Canada? To that end, the distributor introduces its new "What's Trending" feature, an online tool which lists the most frequently viewed items on dandh.ca, updated several times daily. Resellers can now see a roster of hot products in different markets at a glance. "What's Trending" delivers insights into shopping trends so resellers and dealers can make this information part of an educated purchasing decision.

The What's Trending list can be viewed on the dandh.ca search results page; in addition to a dedicated "What's Trending" page, which can be accessed through the left hand menu on dandh.ca's log-in home page. Results can be refined to identify hot items in different categories, including CPUs, notebooks, tablets, software, printers, networking products and more. Listings include product and pricing information; plus icons identifying characteristics such as discounted or green-certified items. Refreshed throughout the day, the Trending results provide intelligence on nearly a real-time basis. Such statistics can help resellers and dealers stay competitive in a rapidly evolving marketplace.

For example, on February 27, the day of the feature's launch, the What's Trending list showed that the HP 2000-2b00 15.6-inch LED notebook was the most frequently viewed overall item on dandh.ca. However, customers could also click on the "Hard Drives & SSDs" tab to the right of the What's Trending list to filter their results, revealing the Western Digital Caviar Blue Desktop 500 GB 3.5-inch drive as the most popular item in this category; and the Lenovo ThinkPad Slate Net-Tablet as the hottest item in the "Tablets" category.

"What's Trending is a novel and important tool," said Greg Tobin, general manager at D&H Canada. "It delivers insights to our customers on the state of product demand at any given time. D&H has utilized similar purchasing data to illustrate what trends are presenting themselves in the marketplace, and to determine how those developments contribute to the company's growth. The What's Trending list gives resellers a similar glimpse at what their peers are shopping for, and how those trends might be applied among their own end-customers."
