D&H CANADA SUPPORTS CISCO'S "CONNECTED NORTH" PROGRAM WITH SPONSORSHIP OF AQSARNIIT MIDDLE SCHOOL

D&H Canada is Proudly Part of Cisco's Effort to Bring Technology and Resources to Canada's Most Remote Northern Territories, Conducting Fundraising and Awareness Activities

MISSISSAUGA, ONT - May 1, 2014 - Leading North American computer products and consumer electronics distributor D&H Canada announces it is participating in Cisco's "Connected North" program. Through the initiative, Cisco and its partners are delivering interactive videoconferencing and collaboration services to remote and northern Aboriginal and Inuit communities, in disciplines such as education and healthcare. D&H Canada has joined with Cisco to sponsor a Connected North installation at Aqsarniit Middle School, located in Iqaluit, Nunavut.

As part of the program, Cisco has deployed its TelePresence videoconferencing technology, offering high-definition communications to enhance the instructional capabilities of participating districts. The technology allows students and teachers to interact with environments beyond their current locations. This connectivity also provides two-way communication with medical personnel and facilities throughout Canada, expanding access to healthcare resources in these remote areas.

D&H is conducting fundraising and awareness activities to support Connected North, including donations gathered during D&H's recent Montreal Technology Show on April 16, 2014. At the show, D&H Canada provided signage and an informative video explaining how the program benefits participants. Representatives from Cisco and D&H were on-hand to provide information at the registration desk and the Cisco booth. In addition, D&H Canada customers can easily donate $5.00 by purchasing a special "CONNECTEDNORTH" sku through the dandh.ca ordering site. One hundred percent of the funds raised through D&H Canada will go to the Connected North program.
