For Immediate Release:

D&H CANADA FISCAL YEAR 2018 TO INCLUDE EXPANDED CREDIT LINES, IMPROVED SERVICES, AND ADDED SALES PERSONNEL

— As D&H Canada Prepares for its 10th Anniversary and Moves Toward Increased Revenues, It Plans Enhanced Investments Both in the Channel and in its Internal Processes —

HARRISBURG, PA - May 17, 2017 - D&H Canada, the leading North American computer products and consumer electronics distributor, announces it is planning a series of new investments and resources for its Fiscal Year 2018, which began May 1, 2017. Major channel investments will include $160 million in annualized incremental buying power for close to 400 VARs, achieved by way of replenishable monthly credit extensions. The extensions are intended to jump-start business for emerging VARs, and fuel growth for more established resellers; in addition to increasing channel breadth for vendors. The distributor will develop other investments in FY 2018, such as new sales personnel, enhanced logistics, added warehouse space to accommodate underserved territories, plus new team activities that enhance D&H’s work-life balance. “D&H is looking to serve as an ideal distribution partner for its reseller partners across multiple markets. We will continue to add resources, creating a long-term plan to devote more support to the overall ecosystem of the channel,” said Greg Tobin, general manager at D&H Canada. “The D&H team is also vested in enhancing the systems and logistics that make our transaction processes faster and more efficient for our partners.”

D&H Canada’s new investments for FY 2018 and beyond include:

$160 Million in Annualized Incremental Credit: In D&H Canada's largest credit enhancement initiative to date, the company will roll-out credit increases for more than 400 resellers. The initiative will augment individual credit lines across a broad portfolio of D&H Canada resellers, to increase buying power on a wide scale.

Increased Customer Breadth: D&H Canada will focus on growing customer breadth for its vendors across-the-board. The company anticipates an increase of close 500 new solution provider customers this fiscal year, representing close to a 10% projected overall increase to its existing customer base. While channel breadth is declining for many manufacturers, D&H Canada intends to increase support and funding for it manufacturer partners to generate additional sales across its growing VAR community.

New Canadian Distribution Center: D&H is undertaking a major investment in Western Canada in 2017, providing new warehouse space that's strategically located to speed delivery and expand D&H's logistical services in this underserved region. The unveiling of this new center will coincide with D&H Canada's 10th anniversary this summer.

"E3" Service Model: D&H has developing a new "E3" customer-centric service model for its resellers.  E3 stands for Engage, Educate, and Enable, which is exemplified by initiatives such as the empowering credit extensions, plus ongoing trainings and reseller engagement events such as boot camps and added trade venues.

New Trade Venues: D&H Canada will launch a new trade event in Western Canada, to enhance educational opportunities for resellers in tier-two populations centers, which will augment service in areas beyond the typical Eastern metropolitan hubs such as Montreal and Toronto.

Added Sales Personnel: D&H Canada plans to increase its sales staff to accommodate new growth and maintain its ongoing "high-touch" service model. The company will add staff in Western Canada to support the other new investments in those western provinces. In addition, D&H Canada will enhance its customer-centric resources, adding more pre-sales support specialists to its existing team of sales technologists.

Improved Logistics: D&H Canada is enhancing its capabilities in logistics, inventory management, forecasting, and ecommerce support to provide optimal services in a demanding marketplace.

Enhanced "Work/Life Balance": As a private, family-owned company celebrating its 10th anniversary, D&H Canada maintains a focus on work/life balance, offering ongoing internal events and activities that strengthen D&H's team and engender a family atmosphere.

“Just as we’ve grown business with existing manufacturer partners since launching in Canada, D&H is committed to adding strategic new channel vendors and product lines going forward. The goal is to increase opportunities for our resellers by augmenting our channel investments, welcoming industry-leading partners with core competencies such as server, networking, storage, security, and off-premise remote management,” Tobin continued. “While some distributors carry a huge spectrum of vendors across all categories, D&H has chosen to offer a more focused line card, emphasizing greater value in our assortment, and delivering strategic options for our VARs.”
