D&H CANADA SEES 17% GROWTH IN 2017, FOCUSES ON EXPANDED GEOGRAPHIES IN 2018

-- The Distributor Sees Growth in Server Solutions, Networking, and Security; Will Build on its Expansion of Service Throughout Canada --

BRAMPTON, ONT - December 18, 2017 - D&H Canada, a major provider of SMB and consumer technologies to North American high-tech channel, announces it experienced 17% overall sales growth over the course of 2017, making its 10th anniversary year a considerably profitable one. Steadfast categories saw strong gains, including for server solutions (89%); monitors (34%); and networking, surveillance, and security products (29%). Niche areas such as videogaming and streaming increased a healthy 79% combined.

D&H focused on investments throughout 2017, including the addition of Roy Rivers as director of sales, advanced solutions, who came on at D&H in July to oversee business development for D&H's major vendor partners. The company will continue to enhance its service offerings, marked by the opening of its newest warehouse in the Vancouver area. This location has significantly exceeded its sales goals since its July launch. The distributor also added a new trade event in the Vancouver area in November, solidifying its commitment to resellers in the western provinces and expanding its value-added trade show schedule.

D&H Canada will head into 2018 with a focus on developing trends, which may include an SMB back-office refresh spurred by end-of-service dates for Microsoft's server solutions. Server upgrades are rarely an isolated phenomenon, since these infrastructures typically encompass a range of categories such as security, storage, back-up, email exchange, and web-based services. A refresh also opens the door to discussions about cloud migration and hosted services. This opportunity presents ample prospects for SMB resellers looking to expand beyond their core competencies, who can generate new projects, establish ongoing service contracts, and/or transition toward a higher-margin managed services model.
