Direct Responsibilities:

  • Picking, packing, loading, and receiving inventory of computer products.
  • Assist in keeping a clean and safe work environment.

Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Be able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Possess excellent attention to detail.
  • Must have a minimum education level of Grade 12.
  • Prior warehouse experience preferred, but willing to train and educate.
  • Picking, shipping, receiving, and inventory control knowledge are a definite asset.
  • RF experience in a WMS environment preferred.
  • Certified Reach Truck operator. Training available.
  • Must be a team player and demonstrate solid behavioral traits.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexible with hours of work Monday to Friday and weekend work may, at times, be a necessity to support our customer service level agreements.

Position Summary:

The purpose of this position is to assist the Leadership Team with the day-to-day operations of the corporate office by developing a team of professionals, managing the formulations of purchasing, sales and marketing strategies and best practice processes in conjunction with departments to align with business strategies and customer requirements.

Essential Functions:

  • Demonstrate the ability to deliver category management, sourcing strategies, sales and marketing
  • Support director in supplier negotiations, developing and negotiating strategies and managing ongoing supplier relationships
  • Coordinate with organizations to ensure alignment of procurement, sales & marketing strategies where synergies exist
  • Responsibility for achieving quarterly profit and sales targets for assigned vendors
  • Develop strategies and action plans to improve combined margin and achieve quarterly targets
  • Maximize back-end rebate dollar achievement for the company
  • Effectively manage rebate spend with Sales to ensure it delivers an acceptable ROI
  • Develop and foster Executive relationships with assigned vendors; promote D&H's value proposition to vendors
  • Increase D&H market share with assigned vendors
  • Deliver objective insights and solutions that accelerate category growth by collaboratively planning, coordinating, and executing with cross-functional resources at multiple levels across the company
  • Coordinates personnel required to achieve company objectives
  • Develops plans for execution and engagement with appropriate senior level contact points, timing, and content
  • Actively and collaboratively participates and leads (depending on topic) meetings with vendors.
  • Develops and coordinates work plans for the Category Management resources
  • Works with company leadership to define priorities and objectives, specific to key vendor KPIs
  • Develops and executes category business plans across key categories
  • Defines requirements for resources necessary to achieve those KPI objectives
  • Executes, in conjunction with the vendor and company leadership, the KPI based on the cross-functional resource committed
  • Manage product assortment, profitability, sourcing and sales activities for assigned categories
  • Optimize product assortment, pricing, promotion and training in different markets
  • Develop selling strategies based on company's competitive and success elements
  • Assist in coordinating and executing the business tactics for development, marketing and sales of the products in the category.
  • Develop and execute category plans to meet revenue goals.
  • Make changes to the product assortment and work with sales to optimize profit margin.
  • Implement monthly promotional strategies to achieve sales goals.
  • Negotiate price changes with vendors and inform the changes to relevant departments of the organization.
  • Analyze customer requirements and develop product promotions to drive sales.
  • Stay updated on industry and market trends.
  • Attend industry events and trade shows as requested.
  • Developing and presenting recommendations to senior management.
  • Engaging marketing managers to execute marketing plans
  • Work collaboratively with marketing managers, sales, and others throughout the organization to ensure successful integration and leverage of new product programs.
  • Develop and execute category strategy to maximize revenue, profitability, and product selection
  • Generate annual sales forecast for category
  • Work with Purchasing & Marketing team to develop key promotional/sales plans with strategic partners that create and drive revenue, traffic and category growth.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Work Environment/Working Conditions:

Specifications/Skills:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or equivalent in experience required in Category Management, Insights and Sales Strategy, and leading teams
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant and technical experience, preferably with significant exposure to IT, or relevant degree
  • Substantial purchasing experience at a senior and strategic level, preferably in the area of large and complex Information Technology solutions
  • Strong background in procurement, marketing, or sales
  • Relevant professional qualifications a significant advantage
  • Strong analytical/data interpretation, Problem Solving, Strategic Influencing, and cross-functional leadership
  • Proven people management experience leading a team and coaching and developing others
  • A change agent who possesses a creative thought process to tackle old and emerging issues with a fresh, new approach

Position Summary:

The Specialist assumes responsibility for functions that support both Accounting and Human Resources for D&H Canada

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review and accurately code AP invoices
  • Assist in the month end close cycle
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Monthly reconciliation and payment of GST on imports Assist in the preparation and coordination of all government agency audits including federal GST/HST, Provincial environmental disposal and recovery legislation
  • Prepare Sales Performance results including commission payouts
  • Analysis and recommendations of expense items as required
  • Assist in budget preparation
  • Assist in the preparation of annual operational and financial audits
  • Process on-line payroll in an accurate and timely basis
  • Assist in the maintenance and coordination of Group Insurance and RSP programs
  • Participates in recruitment effort for personnel and helps to coordinate the use of temporary employees. Reviews applications and interviews applicants to match experience with specific job related requirements
  • Conducts new employee orientations; administers pre-employment tests; conducts reference checks
  • Assists with the preparation of the performance review forms
  • Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law
  • Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues
  • Partners with employees and management to communicate various Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations
  • Conducts exit interviews and makes recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement
  • Responds to employee relation issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations, and civil rights complaints
  • Facilitates and/or provides training to the workforce
  • Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs
  • File, order supplies and perform miscellaneous duties for department
  • Assists Accounting Manager and Director of HR with other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Human Resources Management, Business, or a related field
  • Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices, reconciling payroll and benefits ledger general account
  • Working knowledge of the Ontario Employee Standards Act (ESA) is desirable
  • Must have minimum 2-3 years of experience working in a general office setting, with responsibility for basic Accounting and Human Resources functions
  • Actively pursuing certification in either the CPA or HRPA program
  • Proficient in Microsoft software applications including Word, Excel, Power Point, Access
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to read, write, and speak English (French speaking is an asset)

In this role, you will be trained to work in receiving and shipping. Previous warehouse experience, including the use of RF equipment and forklifts is preferred. This is currently a Monday - Friday day shift position.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Adherence to all safety standards
  • Performing to the determined standards of each area
  • Following all company policies, including maintaining good attendance
  • Learning to use a WMS system and LMS system

Job Requirements:

As a warehouse worker, you are part of a team that values customer service and has a can do attitude when it comes to meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
